Biography:

Assoc. Prof. XIE Haoran is an Associate Professor at Department of Computing and Decision Sciences at Lingnan University, Hong Kong. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Natural Language Processing Journal (Elsevier), Computers & Education: Artificial Intelligence (Elsevier), and Computers & Education: X Reality (Elsevier), the Associate Editor of International Journal of Machine Learning and Cybernetics (Springer), Array (Elseiver), International Journal of Mobile Learning and Organisation (InderScience), and Australasian Journal of Educational Technology (ASCILITE), Topic Editor of Applied Sciences (MDPI), Academic Editor of PLoS One (PLOS) and Education Research International (Hindawi). He has totally published 309 research publications including 162 journal articles (57 papers as first or corresponding author), 6 edited books, 61 book chapters, 76 conference proceedings and 4 patents. Among all 162 journal articles, there are 131 SCI/SSCI indexed, 17 Scopus indexed, and 4 EI indexed. One of his work about Least squares generative adversarial networks (LSGAN) which has received more than 2000 citations ins Google Scholar, published in ICCV 2017 and TPAMI 2019, included by computer science courses of Stanford University and National Taiwan University, and implemented by Google TensorFlow.
